Cultiver’s founder, Megan Stewart Hodge, is a leadership & career coach to rising female executives and an advocate for diversity, equity and cultures of inclusion.

Megan strives for whole-person success in her interwoven professional and personal journey, prioritizing authenticity and well-being. Megan has cultivated her expertise and leadership throughout her career with a strong focus on: operational strategy, innovation, fostering talent & inclusive culture development and consummate client advisory.

Megan is the author of Voix, a series committed to advancement and empowerment. She is a Co-Founder of The Trilogy, a conversational series exploring the intersection between allyship, mentorship and sponsorship as drivers of intentional and enduring change in the insurance industry. She is also a member of Insurance Business America’s Inclusion Advisory Panel and recently served as the co-host of the 2020 IICF Midwest Women in Insurance Beyond Gender: Inclusion, Leadership & Innovation Regional Forum as well as a co-city Lead of Chicago’s 2020 Dive In Festival & Celebration of Diversity in the Insurance Industry.

Megan believes it is critical to use our voices and our positions of leadership to drive meaningful change for a more inclusive industry and society.

 Advisory Board

Cultiver’s Advisory Board has been formed to ensure a broad and inclusive lens guides the strategic growth of Cultiver. Inclusion and diversity experts representing a variety of industries and experiences comprise this Advisory Board to advise, challenge and hold Cultiver accountable in executing its mission of driving change and fostering cultures of inclusion.

Dana Sumpter, Ph.D.

Dana Sumpter is an Associate Professor of Management and Human Resource Management in the College of Business at California State University, Long Beach. She received her Ph.D. at University of California, Irvine, and MS and BS degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her primary research interests explore relational organizational behavior and cross-cultural management. In addition, her current research examines work/family enrichment, gender, and inclusion in organizations. She has published in numerous academic journals, including Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management Studies, Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion, Human Resource Management, and Organizational Dynamics. In addition, she has written several book chapters, published in the Long Beach Business Journal, and has been quoted in HR Magazine. Professor Sumpter's research has received grants from the Center for Innovation Research in Cultural Intelligence and Leadership, and the Center for Organizational Research. Previously, she was a Vice President of Human Resources at Citigroup, based in New York and Singapore. Across 10 Asia-Pacific nations, Professor Sumpter led live executive trainings and coached executives on HR and people management skills. An avid outdoor enthusiast and yogi, she is a mom to two rambunctious young children and lives with them and her husband in Long Beach, California.

Marc Wilson

Marc Wilson is a Group Strategy Director at innovation leader R/GA, an agency known for creating transformation at speed through its consulting, ventures, technology, design, marketing communications and IP practices. Through his long-standing advocacy of Diversity & Inclusion, robust advertising expertise and comprehensive background in psychology, Marc brings a truly unique and influential perspective to his role, colleagues and clients. In the words of a former colleague, Marc is “one of the most insightful strategists and managers” and “his rigorous background in psychology allows him to cut incisively to the core of the human needs that direct the kind of creative work necessary to drive business in our increasingly cluttered world.” Marc is a Ph.D. in Business Psychology candidate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, graduating in the spring of 2020. Marc earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology at Duke University, Durham, N.C., where he had a football scholarship, and a masters in psychology at Pepperdine University, Los Angeles.
